Atlanta, GeorgiaIn November 2008, Capital Technology Services Group, Inc. D/B/A Capital Internet merged with Atlanta-based company Netstream Communications, LLC with NetStream remaining as the surviving entity. Capital Internet is a provider of colocation data center services. NetStream is a provider of Metro Ethernet business solutions.
As Michael Jordan, the CEO of NetStream, states, The merger will strengthen both companies. Netstream acquires the substantial fiber optic network infrastructure of Capital Internet and a data center operation that has been in business for 10 years. Capital Internet strengthens its network scope and capability and expands its market. Netstream intends to acquire additional data centers and increase its peering network with tier-1 providers.
As Michael Reiner, the President of Capital Technology Services Group states, NetStream is capable of taking Capital Internet to the next level and we are excited by the possibilities.
As Michael Jordan States, NetStream is in the process of upgrading the Capital Internet data center facility. Ground has been broken on construction that will add 9,000 square feet to the Capital Internet building which is scheduled to be complete in October of 2009. The build out will add more data center space and offices. The existing data center has been remodeled and key network infrastructure inside the data center has been substantially upgraded. We have restructured the strategy to focus more on the small business market and we are improving our internal processes to become a service-oriented culture.
