Atlanta Colocation Network Services
Fiber Optic Network and Interconnects
Capital Internet operates its own Metro Fiber SONET ring around the perimeter of Atlanta and throughout the downtown business district. Our 10 Gig fiber ring runs through the major interconnect facility in Atlanta known as 56 Marietta Street (Telx). At Telx, Capital Internet interconnects directly with SPRINT, Level 3 Communications, Cogent, and others. Unlike some data centers that use intermediaries for network access, Capital Internet has a direct relationship with tier-1 network providers which is how we can offer high quality bandwidth at a very affordable price. We also offer MetroE point to point solutions – contact us for a quote.
Fault Tolerance
Our Metro Ring is completely fault tolerant and can remain functional even if part of it is damaged. By automatically re-routing traffic around a cut fiber Capital Internet can guarantee your internet connectivity remains online 99.999% of the time and is backed by our Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Advanced Routing
Our layer 3 routing capability affords us the ability to offer Virtual Local Area Network's (VLAN's) which enable customers to connect multiple locations and consolidate their data into a single pipe.
Speed and Reliability
Capital Internet has multiple GigE uplinks to Level 3, Sprint, Cogent, and others. Fully redundant core network architecture provides high quality of service. A direct fiber connection from the data center to Telex results in very low latency which is critical for businesses that are doing streaming media, real-time collaboration, and transactions.
